The role
What you'll do
- As a Quality Specialist, you will own critical quality processes that directly impact the reliability, manufacturability, and operational readiness of Mach Industries systems. You will serve as a technical authority within production, partnering closely with manufacturing, design, supply chain, and test teams to drive rapid issue resolution and scalable quality systems.
- This is a highly hands-on role for someone who thrives in fast-paced hardware environments and can independently lead inspection strategy, nonconformance management, supplier quality initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts across production programs.
- You will be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy while helping define the standards, workflows, and rigor that enable production at scale.
- Own and execute advanced inspection and quality assurance activities for mechanical, electrical, and integrated assemblies across receiving, in-process, and final inspection environments
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, and manufacturing documentation to develop and improve inspection methodologies and acceptance criteria
- Lead nonconformance investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and material review activities in coordination with cross-functional stakeholders
- Drive closure of production quality issues by partnering directly with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and test teams on the factory floor
- Own key quality system processes including MRB, calibration, inspection planning, first article inspections, and supplier quality activities
- Support the development and maintenance of work instructions, work orders, MBOMs, and inspection records to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Support supplier qualification, supplier audits, incoming inspection strategy, and supplier corrective action efforts to improve external quality performance
- Analyze quality data and manufacturing trends to identify systemic issues and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with AS9100 and company standards
- Support rapid product development and new product introduction (NPI) efforts by ensuring manufacturability, inspection readiness, and process control are incorporated early in the build lifecycle
- Mentor junior inspectors and help establish scalable quality standards and best practices across the organization
