First GTF Advantage-powered aircraft delivery
Pratt & Whitney and United Airlines marked delivery of the first aircraft powered by the GTF Advantage engine, an Airbus A321XLR for United.
The delivery puts Pratt & Whitney's newest production GTF standard into customer service. The company says the engine offers higher durability and thrust than the current GTF model and plans to transition the PW1100G-JM production line to the Advantage specification by 2028.
