Hammerhead anti-submarine mine follow-on production modification

General Dynamics Mission Systems announced a $230 million follow-on contract modification to deliver Hammerhead Encapsulated Effector anti-submarine mine systems to the U.S. Navy.

The production work supports the Navy's Hammerhead intermediate- and deep-water anti-submarine weapon. General Dynamics said work would continue through late 2028, primarily at its UUV Manufacturing and Assembly Center of Excellence in Taunton, Massachusetts, with fabrication support in Greensboro, North Carolina.
