Winchester hydrogen-UAS factory opens

Heven AeroTech opened a 56,000-square-foot UAS production facility in Winchester, Virginia, establishing its first East Coast factory and a second U.S. manufacturing region.

The Virginia site supports production of Heven AeroTech's Defense Innovation Unit Blue UAS Select Z1 hydrogen-powered drone. The company says it stood up the facility within 90 days and will use it as an operating blueprint for a planned national network, with recruiting underway as production ramps.
