USNS Robert Ballard (T-AGS 67) christened

Bollinger Shipyards christened the Navy's next Pathfinder-class oceanographic survey ship, USNS Robert Ballard, in Pascagoula, Mississippi.

Bollinger hosted the christening of USNS Robert Ballard at its Mississippi shipyard. The more-than-350-foot vessel is designed for acoustic, biological, physical, and geophysical survey work supporting Navy operations. It includes a moon pool for unmanned-vehicle deployment and retrieval and will be operated by Military Sealift Command after delivery.
