HII christened George M. Neal, the fourth Flight III Arleigh Burke-class destroyer built at Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, Mississippi.

Ship sponsor Kelley Neal Gray christened the future USS George M. Neal at Ingalls Shipbuilding. The destroyer is the fourth Flight III ship constructed at Ingalls and incorporates the AN/SPY-6(V)1 Air and Missile Defense Radar with the Aegis Baseline 10 combat system. It honors Korean War veteran George M. Neal, who received the Navy Cross for actions during an attempted rescue mission.
