Robotics Metaplant Application Center begins operations

Boston Dynamics opened the Robotics Metaplant Application Center inside Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America near Savannah, Georgia, giving Atlas humanoid robots an operational U.S. training and test center for automotive-manufacturing tasks.

The first phase is operational inside Hyundai's Georgia manufacturing campus. Boston Dynamics says Atlas robots are training on real-world parts logistics and sequencing ahead of automotive deployment, with a move into a facility approximately ten times larger planned for 2027.
