SIV Ambulances launches Responder Type II ambulance line

Pennsylvania-based SIV Ambulances enters new-ambulance manufacturing with two Ford Transit Type II models already in production.

SIV Ambulances launched the medium-roof SIV Responder and high-roof Responder XL, marking the Pennsylvania company's move from ambulance sales and remounting into production of its own new vehicles. SIV says the Responder is in production and is pairing the launch with a planned $20 million expansion of workforce, equipment, inventory and Pennsylvania manufacturing capacity.
