EO/IR satellite payload production line opens in El Segundo

Boeing opened a 9,000-square-foot EO/IR payload line in El Segundo to scale sensor production for U.S. Space Force missile-warning satellites.

The new ISO Class 6 production area at Boeing's El Segundo satellite facility expands electro-optical/infrared payload manufacturing. It supports Millennium Space Systems' 12-vehicle Resilient Missile Warning and Tracking MEO program for the Space Force and gives Boeing room to add lines for other missions. Boeing said its Space Mission Systems unit aimed to more than double annual satellite output to 26 spacecraft in 2026.
