Century and EGA expand planned Oklahoma aluminum smelter to 750,000 tons

Century Aluminum joined Emirates Global Aluminium's Inola project under a joint-development agreement, increasing planned annual capacity to 750,000 metric tons. The first new U.S. primary aluminum smelter since 1980 would more than double current domestic output, subject to final engineering, power, and joint-venture agreements.
