The thesis
The US has a critical anti-ship and standoff munitions shortfall, especially for an Indo-Pacific contingency. Ares is the first defense startup ever backed by Y Combinator and built + flight-tested a prototype in the Mojave within 11 weeks of founding — the speed-of-iteration playbook applied to missiles.
