Canary Aerospace designs and manufactures high-end drones built around a PX4-based flight controller, engineered to pair with third-party autonomy payloads for rapid integration and productization. The team brings experience manufacturing both commercial and government UAS products and partners with innovators in the inspection and autonomy space.
The thesis
Most autonomy startups need a reliable, integration-friendly airframe to ship their software on. Canary supplies that platform from Western Pennsylvania, a region with a deep robotics talent pool (CMU) and a manufacturing base, giving US autonomy and inspection teams a domestic hardware partner instead of a Chinese-made one.
