The product
Chariot Defense builds the Amphora Edge Power family: a 24 VDC, 5 kW, 5 kWh tactical system and the 400 VDC, 35 kW, 15 kWh Amphora 400 for higher-demand missions. The products ingest varied energy sources, store energy, and distribute it through software-controlled bidirectional interfaces; Vanguard is a future high-voltage hybrid platform concept.
The thesis
Drones, sensors, communications, electronic warfare, medical systems, additive manufacturing, and directed-energy systems are making electrical power a battlefield bottleneck. Mobile storage and intelligent distribution can reduce fuel demand, generator idling, acoustic and thermal signatures, and the logistics burden of disconnected operations.
How it runs
Chariot combines ruggedized batteries, power electronics, and embedded software into deployable microgrids, iterating through Army exercises and field trials. It sells systems into government programs and supports integration across generators, vehicles, renewable sources, allied equipment, and tactical loads.
How it earns
Revenue is primarily hardware delivery and government contract work, with potential integration, support, and future fleet-software revenue. Chariot publicly reported a $7 million DIU PRISM contract for a 12-month Army-brigade effort; the award value is a contract amount, not evidence of annual revenue.
