The product
Discipulus Ventures runs a two-week, military-style residency in El Segundo for early-stage hard-tech and defense founders. Cohorts go through 6 a.m. workouts, intensive mentorship, and demo day prep, with check writing and intros into the El Segundo defense-tech network on the back end.
The thesis
The reindustrialization wave needs more young founders going directly into defense, aerospace, and industrial software instead of consumer SaaS. Discipulus is one of the few programs explicitly recruiting and forging that cohort, and its portfolio companies are already attracting capital from a16z, Lux, Bedrock, and Point72.
