Impulse Labs

Battery-integrated home appliances — induction first, the rest of the kitchen next.

What they build

The product

Impulse builds battery-integrated electrified home appliances. The flagship Impulse Cooktop is a 10kW peak-power induction stove with a built-in 3kWh battery that plugs into a standard 120V outlet, boils water in under 40 seconds, and doubles as grid-interactive home storage. Backed by Lux Capital, Construct Capital, Fifth Wall, Lachy Groom.

Why it matters

The thesis

Electrifying U.S. homes is bottlenecked by the panel — most kitchens can't add high-amperage appliances without expensive electrical work. Battery integration sidesteps the panel entirely, unlocking electrification at scale and turning every kitchen into a grid asset. This is a direct shot at the grid and electrification stack reindustrialization depends on.
