The product
Saronic builds the 24-foot Corsair, 52-foot Mirage, and 180-foot Marauder autonomous surface vessels, plus Echelon software for planning, simulating, executing, and monitoring single-vessel and multi-asset missions. Port Alpha is its planned next-generation shipyard for larger vessels and high-rate production.
The thesis
The U.S. Navy needs distributed maritime capacity that adds payloads, reach, and operational mass without putting sailors on every hull. Corsair's 2026 rescue of two downed Apache crew members and subsequent strike on facilities at Iran's Bandar Abbas Naval Base show that Saronic systems have crossed from exercises and prototypes into real operations.
How it runs
Saronic vertically integrates vessel design, autonomy, command-and-control software, manufacturing, testing, field support, and shipyard capacity. It builds smaller autonomous vessels in Texas and Louisiana while expanding toward Port Alpha in Brownsville for larger-hull production.
How it earns
Revenue is supported by government development and procurement contracts, vessel deliveries, payload integration, and training and lifecycle support. Echelon can add software value around deployed fleets, but Saronic does not disclose software pricing, segment revenue, or commercial-maritime revenue; contract ceilings and announced investment are not booked revenue.
Why it wins
The company co-designs hulls, autonomy, payload interfaces, digital twins, and fleet command software, then manufactures the vessels itself. That integration now has operational evidence: Corsair performed a first-known autonomous-boat rescue and was used in the first U.S. military combat employment of sea drones, while the company continues scaling Mirage, Marauder, and dedicated shipyard capacity.
