Adam Peters runs Air Liquide's North American operations, the largest geographic franchise of the French industrial-gas major and the supplier of oxygen, hydrogen, and nitrogen behind much of US heavy industry. He joined the group in 1996 in the US Electronics business and rose through onsite operations and large-projects roles before being named CEO of Air Liquide North America in 2022. In May 2024 he joined the parent company's Group Executive Committee, signaling the strategic weight Paris places on the American footprint as reshoring expands. Peters holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M and an MBA from Southern Methodist University. He is the operator most directly responsible for the industrial-gas backbone of US semiconductor, steel, and clean-hydrogen build-outs.
