Blake Scholl is the founder and CEO of Boom Supersonic, which he started in 2014 to bring supersonic passenger flight back to commercial aviation. A Carnegie Mellon computer science grad, he was an early Amazon software engineer, co-founded mobile startup Kima Labs (acquired by Groupon), and ran relevance and search at Groupon before founding Boom. His XB-1 demonstrator went supersonic in 2025; United, American, and Japan Airlines have placed orders for 130 Overture airliners.
