About
Erik Palitsch co-founded Freeform and serves as CEO, building software-defined autonomous factories for AI-native metal 3D printing. Before Freeform he was a principal architect on the Merlin engines at SpaceX, where he led work on the propulsion hardware that flies every Falcon 9 mission. He started Freeform on the conviction that closed-loop AI control of the melt pool, rather than incremental hardware improvements, is the unlock for high-volume additive manufacturing. The company has attracted investment from NVIDIA's NVentures, Founders Fund, Two Sigma Ventures, and Threshold Ventures to scale its print fleets.
