About
Mark Moore co-founded Whisper Aero in 2021 to build the next generation of ultra-quiet electric propulsion for drones, eVTOLs, consumer products, and eventually crewed aircraft. He spent more than three decades at NASA Langley as an aerospace engineer, where he authored the foundational papers on distributed electric propulsion and effectively defined the technical case for eVTOL aviation. He left NASA to become Engineering Director of Aviation at Uber Elevate, the team that catalyzed the modern eVTOL industry, before spinning out Whisper Aero with Ian Villa. Whisper's WhisperDrive electric ducted fans and the recently unveiled Whisper Jet are betting that the limiting factor in electric flight is no longer batteries but acoustic signature. Moore is widely credited as the most influential American technical voice in electric aviation.
