Nathan Gettings co-founded Palantir Technologies in 2003, where he served as the founding CTO and led the early engineering work that turned PayPal-style fraud detection into a generalized intelligence-analysis platform. He had previously worked alongside Peter Thiel and Stephen Cohen at PayPal on the anti-fraud team. Gettings later left Palantir's day-to-day to co-found Robotics Holdings and to invest in early-stage technology companies. His technical fingerprints remain on the original Palantir Gotham architecture that defined the modern category of intelligence software.
