Sassie Duggleby is the co-founder and CEO of Venus Aerospace, the Houston company developing the Stargazer hypersonic aircraft and a flight-tested rotating detonation rocket engine. Before Venus, she was a Launch Systems Engineer and Mission Management consultant at Virgin Orbit, where she ran end-to-end mission operations. She founded Venus in 2020 with her husband, Andrew Duggleby, to commercialize hypersonic propulsion that could deliver Mach 9 passenger flight and dramatically cheaper hypersonic weapons for the U.S. military. She was named to Inc.'s 2023 Female Founders list.
