Steven Glinert is the CEO and co-founder of Sphere Semi, a Palo Alto-based startup applying generative AI to analog, RF, and mixed-signal chip design. He is a multi-time founder at the intersection of industrials and advanced software: prior to Sphere, he founded and led Kinta AI (2017-2023), an AI platform for manufacturing operations planning that worked with Stanley Black & Decker, BASF, Lafarge Holcim, and Diebold Nixdorf before being wound down. Earlier in his career he was an AI engineer at Pivotus Ventures focused on digitizing retail banking, and he has worked as a data scientist and graduate research assistant. He holds a Master's in Economics from Stanford University, where his coursework focused on machine learning and econometrics, and he writes publicly about industrial policy, semiconductors, and US-China competition.
