Tom Feldman co-founded Stoke Space in 2019 with Andy Lapsa, leaving Blue Origin where he had been a senior propulsion design engineer on the BE-4 engine, with primary responsibility for the oxidizer pump and thrust chamber. He earlier interned at SpaceX and on NASA programs, and holds M.S. and B.S. degrees in aerospace engineering from Purdue University. The pair spent the first six months of Stoke heads-down in Lapsa's basement, iterating on the math behind a fully reusable upper stage before raising their first round. He drives propulsion architecture at Stoke and has been one of the public faces of the Nova second-stage program.
