Yasir Arafat is CTO, president, and co-founder of Aalo Atomics, where he leads development of factory-manufactured advanced nuclear reactors. Before joining Aalo in October 2023, he led the MARVEL microreactor project at Idaho National Laboratory after originating its concept and guiding its design and testing. Earlier, during roughly a decade at Westinghouse, he worked on AP1000 research and development and helped originate the eVinci microreactor program. At Aalo he has led technical work on the Aalo-X reactor program and the company's factory-first approach to modular nuclear deployment.
